2011 PVF Fellows // Music Video | "Breathe for Me"

“Breathe for Me” is an entirely original composition created over a 2 week collaboration among the Positive Vibrations Foundation Teen Fellows and the music students of the Lusher Summer Music Institute. The track was recorded at the Music Shed Studios in New Orleans and the music video was produced in partnership with the Canary Collective. The 2011 Positive Vibrations Jazz Orchestra performed “Breathe for Me” live in the Positive Vibrations Band Room at the Institute’s Recital, at the Juneteenth Freedom Festival in Donaldsonville, LA, and at the New Orleans Hard Rock Cafe in the heart of the French Quarter.

Positive Vibrations Foundation is a non-profit private operating foundation formed exclusively for charitable and educational purposes as defined by IRS section 501(c)(3). The mission of the Positive Vibrations Foundation is to create and encourage community through the development and preservation of the arts, music, culture and heritage. The Foundation promotes and underwrites music for progressive community events and awards sixteen full fellowship grants to outstanding teen musicians worldwide for its annual Summer Arts through Culture Program. The educational program is conducted in New Orleans, Louisiana each June. Fellows return to their home communities prepared to execute a Pay it Forward Project. These service projects are developed in partnership with the foundation and involve the Fellows taking on the challenge of improving a condition in their home communities.
