Q: How much does the Foundation invest per fellow?
A: The Foundation invests in excess of $14,000.00 per fellow each program. This covers the cost of Lusher tuition, Tulane University housing, all local transportation and meals* in New Orleans. It also includes excursions, tours, cultural events, honorariums for guest speakers and musician bookings.

Q: What costs are there?
A: The Foundation requires a $100.00 administrative and application fee plus $400 towards wholesome meals for the month. The Foundation will share in the costs of meals. Parents/guardians are expected to provide for airfare to and from New Orleans. All local transportation in New Orleans is provided by the Foundation.

For Parents

Positive Vibrations Foundation hosted its first 2009 Summer Arts through Culture Program in New Orleans. Selected candidates were awarded full fellowship grants and spent three weeks at the Lusher Charter School and Tulane University from June 1 through June 26, 2009. The program returned in June 2010 with full fellowships being awarded to 15 enthusiastic young musicians from all across the United States and two international fellows from Buenos Aires, Argentina. The 2011 Summer Arts through Culture Program ran from June 4th through July 1st, 2011. The Online Application for the 2012 Program available here.

The Fellowship grants awarded by Positive Vibrations Foundation are open to music instrumentalist, vocalist, songwriters, and producers from the ages of 14-17 years old worldwide. The fellowship grant covers the costs of tuition, accommodations, meals, and all program related activities. The foundation invests on average $14,000 per fellow to cover the costs of the programming. Approximately $2000 of this sum goes to cover meals. The foundation requires Parents to share in the cost of the meals by paying a $400 food allotment. Parents are expected to pay for for the cost of their teen’s transportation cost to and from New Orleans. Food allotment and travel expenses are to be paid upon acceptance of the fellowship grant.
